Introducing The Cycle Company - A New Electric Bike Shop in Shawford
The Cycle Company has recently opened a new, specialist electric bike shop in Shawford, just outside Winchester.
Offering a range of electric bikes to buy: from foldable electric bikes, to full-suspension e-mountain bikes and everything in between, as well as electric bikes to hire… the shop opens at a time when the interest in e-bikes is greater than ever.
The Cycle Company is owned by local cycle nuts Tom Corcoran, Duncan Pryde and Ed Chase. Their aim is to get more people cycling while reducing the number of cars on Winchester’s roads. The team believes this is essential to help with Winchester’s renowned traffic problems and raise awareness of the need to stay more fit and healthy.
“One of the main benefits of electric bikes is that the motor assists those who aren’t as fit, or experienced cyclists, to keep up with those who are. This means families or groups of friends can cycle together more easily, those who have given up cycling can pick it up again and more people can commute to work without arriving in a sweaty heap,” says Tom Corcoran.
