Introducing our first Travel Blogger - Anna Parker

Anna is the latest addition to Winchester Bloggers panel. We are thrilled to have her on board and am sure you will be only too pleased to read all about her upcoming adventures. Here Anna introduces herself and her love for travel.

I recently moved to one of the villages near Winchester with my husband, having lived in Southampton for almost 20 years. We are loving country life, being closer to work in the city as well as to Heathrow! We love to travel whenever we can: short haul, long haul, weekends away or days out in in the UK.

Our style is luxury and unique and as sailors we like it best when we can be by the sea too. I adore finding hidden gems. The kind of place that is relaxing and tucked away with bags of charm.

For example, a country like Israel which isn’t on many peoples visit list. Or a home stay guest house in India. Perhaps it's a quaint B&B or inn in Cornwall which has always been my favourite place. Sometimes going offline for a spot of offshore sailing can be a luxury. Recently a villa in rural Greece well away from the crowds. Living near stunning scenery to enjoy a gorgeous pub walk. And of course sometimes complete opulence in a stately home.  Work also takes me on many travels which lets me visit places I wouldn’t otherwise have thought of, like Los Angeles, Miami and India. 

I started my blog to keep a note of our travels - Travel with Penelope & Parker - almost like an online scrapbook. It’s turned into a fun hobby of mine and I love finding somewhere new for us to go as often as we can, for the blog...  It’s a pleasure when I can point others in the direction of my niche of laid back luxe in a beautiful location. I’m looking forward to exploring my new part of Hampshire better too.
